ETEC522 (Fall 2016)

Launched in April 2012 by professors Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng, Coursera has experienced meteoric success at skyrocket speed.  It is not surprising considering the number of universities that are partnered with this e-learning venture.  To date, it has 46 partner institutes from 28 countries around the world.  Most of these are renowned post-secondary institutes but there are also some large corporations with strong academic interests such as National Geographic and IBM.  Coursera also boasts an academically-impressive and experience-rich leadership team that directs their staff.
